Weilà, weilà raga! Piacere! I’m Tom, and since 2011, I’ve had the great pleasure of teaching Italian and English to a worldwide audience of appasionati delle lingue, or language enthsiasts, thanks to my YouTube channel, Weilà Tom.

My language learning journey began when I was a child. I’m an American of Italian origins and was raised in a bilingual family. I started formally studying Italian in my teens and quickly found myself right at home in the language learning world.

I started my YouTube channel with a simple idea: to teach Italians the sorts of colloquial expressions one only learns after spending time in the US. On occasion, I would flip the script and make Learn Italian content for English speakers. After seeing that there was a huge demand for Italian-language content, I continued to make more and more of it and the Weilà Tom channel quickly became a bilingual channel for both students of English and Italian!

Besides English and Italian, I also speak French, Neapolitan, Portuguese, and Spanish. I believe that anyone can successfully learn a language. The key is to simply know how you learn and you can master anything! Learning a language is more than just conjugating verbs, it’s a lifestyle and something you can take with you everywhere you go.
